Course Transfer can be hard. Here’s how to make it easier.

A third of students transfer schools. When they do, they lose on average a third of their credits. On top of that, the process is often complex, opaque, and slow.

Some of these problems are due to the difficulty of knowing whether courses at a student’s home and destination schools are similar enough to transfer.  This is what the Course Matcher does. It helps students look up matches for their home school courses at possible destination schools. It supports that comparison with syllabus detail when we have it. And it lets students send that comparison to the destination school in support of their application. A strong Course Matcher match doesn’t guarantee transferability. Schools use a variety of criteria to make decisions. But it can make the process better informed, more transparent, and more predictable for students and school staff.
